Marc Baur
Trainer, Speaker, Coach
My Vision
To create a nurturing environment, in which people
feel motivated and safe enough to step beyond their
creative and personal boundaries. Where truth is
encouraged, through the teaching of sound
principals, balanced in both craft and instrumental
availability.
My Philosophy
A good learning environment needs to be safe, nurturing and fun
Truth is at the core of any great performance
Craft is a balance between understanding technique, being
accessible and knowing how to manipulate one's emotional states
Confidence and self trust are prerequisites which must be fostered

Why I am different
My goal is to bring out the very best in every student. I make learning fun and practical. Most importantly, my approach is always personalized. I don't prescribe to any one school of thought, instead, I prefer to work with the student where they are - giving them what they need.
My craft is definitely grounded in a bedrock of technique, however, my coaching is holistic in nature. I work organically and will often use exercises to alter an actor's state.
Immediate feedback is always a priority for me. As such, I keep my class size small, so every students gets a chance to work multiple times in each class.
All student work is put on camera and recorded to their own DVD.

" The focus of Marc's work is undoubtedly founded in holism. He specifically addresses each student's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects and stresses the importance of balancing all of these elements in order to effectively access creativity in the acting process. "
