" Marc is one of those rare individuals who successfully combines intuition and intellect to create a highly effective and supportive learning environment. His teaching process and one-on-one attention frees you to discover your unique talents. Marc helped me build the confidence and skills I needed for performance and the audition room.”
" The focus of Marc's work is undoubtedly founded in holism. He specifically addresses each student's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects and stresses the importance of balancing all of these elements in order to effectively access creativity in the acting process. "

Your Film Class
This highly informative and very experiential four week class, is packed with practical techniques that you can actually use to take your career to the next step. You*ll learn how to prepare instrumentally, deal with nerves and bring your own unique qualities to your performance. Through a 14 point system, you'll also learn how to identify and fulfill the various textural and technical obligations of any side - giving you that all-important winning edge.
Your work will be recorded on camera and you will receive a DVD of all your work done in each class.
My Vision
To create a nurturing environment, in which people
feel motivated and safe enough to step beyond their
creative and personal boundaries. Where truth is
encouraged, through the teaching of sound
principals, balanced in both craft and instrumental
availability.
My Philosophy
A good learning environment needs to be safe,
nurturing and fun
Truth is at the core of any great performance
Craft is a balance between understanding
technique, being accessible and knowing how to
manipulate one's emotional states
Confidence and self trust are prerequisites which
must be fostered
My Approach
My goal is to bring out the very best in every student. I make learning fun and practical. Most importantly, my approach is always personalized. I don't prescribe to any one school of thought, instead, I prefer to work with the student where they are - giving them what they need.
My craft is definitely grounded in a bedrock of technique, however, my coaching is holistic in nature. I work organically and will often use exercises to alter an actor's state.
Immediate feedback is always a priority for me. As such, I keep my class size small, so every students gets a chance to work multiple times.
Who Should Attend?
This class has been designed specifically for the actor with some training and experience. Sorry, but it is not suitable for the beginner.
Class Information
Classes - Tuesday or Thursday - 6:30 to 10:30
Scenes for next weeks class will be emailed on the following day of class.
I'm excited to say that soon a scene archive will be made available to all participants, so they may choose their own sides to do.
Format
Participants are asked to come to class fully prepared and ready work. What you bring in, should be of a professional quality - representative of the best you can do. In other words, if you had got an audition, or been booked on a gig, what you bring to class is comparable to what you would have done for the casting director or on set.
Then together, we take your best and make it even better.
